World Whisky Day

We never pass up the chance to celebrate a made-up liquor holiday. In fact, we're still celebrating World Cocktail Day which was earlier this week, so pop on over to the store and use offer code CHEERS10 for 10% off your entire order at checkout through Sunday, May 17th.

Anyway - World Whisky Day, using the European spelling, and not to be confused with International Whisk(e)y Day on March 27th. You know, this is tiresome, let's just do some Whiskey drinkin' here.

We're drinking a recipe we found on Bon Appetit, called the Witty Comeback. We had some ginger in the fridge that was getting suspect at best, so it became simple syrup.  Out of rye because, well, we drank it all so I used Maker's Mark. Seemed to work out just fine.

Here is the link to the recipe;

I always back off the simple syrup by a little and we did here too, by about 25%. Tastes better when served on top of a "Fuck all y'all" napkin. I think the fancy term might be "doily" or something like that, but I'm not sure how to spell that. It's a cocktail napkin.

Cheers!
