World Whisky Day

We're drinking a recipe we found on Bon Appetit, called the Witty Comeback. We had some ginger in the fridge that was getting suspect at best, so it became simple syrup. Out of rye because, well, we drank it all so I used Maker's Mark. Seemed to work out just fine.

I always back off the simple syrup by a little and we did here too, by about 25%. Tastes better when served on top of a "Fuck all y'all" napkin. I think the fancy term might be "doily" or something like that, but I'm not sure how to spell that. It's a cocktail napkin.
