We're Back with the Streetcar
Hello Friends, it has been a while, and we're happy to be back. We had such a big December (thank you all for the holiday orders), that we gave the L+R team a few weeks off to recuperate.
We're back, and it's time for a new drink recipe. This is one of the two recipes that went out with our January Happy Hour Subscription Kit, and it received such great feedback it deserves a post.
If you're not familiar with the Happy Hour kits, we launched a subscription kit offering in late December, a monthly box filled with all kinds of eclectic items. This recipe is a riff on the classic Sidecar, that we designed around the Lavender Honey syrup we feature from Yes Cocktail Company. You can find it here, or make your own - do simple syrup and steep a Tbsp of honey and some dry lavender for ten minutes, but Yes has this nailed, which is why we buy it.
Combine in a Shaker;
1.5 oz. Rye
0.75 oz. Lavender Honey Syrup
0.5 oz. Grand Marnier
0.5 oz. fresh lemon juice
A dash of orange bitters
Shake effectively and strain into a coupe. If you must garnish, an orange wedge will do nicely, but you may be too busy drinking to worry with such details.
