Modified Whiskey Sour - and NEWS!

Hello again, friends.  Been little while since we put any new content out there, so we'll try to make up for lost time this week with a new drink and some updates.

In spite of extreme precaution on our part, the Caveman team ran afoul of the Rona and ended up with our own little Covid outbreak in the Cave here. Testing cocktails is no fun without smell or taste, and coming up with new stuff is simply impossible. So, we stepped back for a few weeks. With that behind us, we move forward!

Now, the upside of this for you, faithful readers, is that we took the downtime to establish relationships with a slew of new artisans and vendors. We have sourced some incredible new products and are going to be adding new stuff pretty consistently as it comes in. We're really excited about the new lineup and are also launching a rebranding project here soon, so stay tuned.

Anyway - what's better for a little nagging residual cough than lemon and honey? Only one thing...lemon, honey and whiskey, of course. This is a little twist on the Whiskey Sour, served on the rocks.

Modified Whiskey Sour

2 parts bourbon

3/4 part lemon

1/2 part honey syrup (equals parts honey and water)

Add all ingredients to mixing glass with ice and stir for 30 seconds. Strain into a highball glass over fresh ice and add a dash of bitters. Garnish with lemon peel.

Pictured with the cocktail are a couple of our new products, the "tattoo" heavy crystal mixing glass made in Italy and a funky art deco highball glass.
